South Africa has moved the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to declare that the Israel was in breach of its obligations under the 1948 Genocide Convention. The convention was officially called as the UN’s Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The US vetoed a resolution of the UN Security Council (UNSC) that called for a Gaza ceasefire. All member countries of the UN are part of the General Assembly (UNGA) which can pass resolutions on relevant matters. India joins Executive Committee of Codex Alimentarius Commission during its 46th meeting being held at Food and Agriculture Organization Headquarters at Rome. CAC is an international body that sets food standards established in 1963 by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The CAC's goals are to protect consumer health and ensure fair food trade practices. It has 189 members. The CAC is part of the joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has voted to end its political mission dedicated to ending the civil war in Sudan. The liquidation of UNITAMS will begin on March 1, 2024. The United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) was established in June 2020. The mission’s mandate was extended in 2021 and 2022. UNITAMS supports the promotion and protection of human rights.

It is also its second-largest shareholder (with 7.62% voting shares) after China (26.06%). It has received USD 4.35 billion from the Bank.
