The Peralassery Subrahmanya Temple pond in Kannur, Kerala has found place in the list of 75 water heritage sites of India. It is locally known as Aynivyal pond. It is situated on the banks of the Anjarakandy River. There is no provision under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 to declare a site as a “Water Heritage Site” under Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). However, the Ministry of Jal Shakti had constituted a Committee to identify 75 Water Heritage Structure (WHS) in reference to 75 years of India's Independence.

Mohenjo-Daro Image Source - Harappa Mohenjo Daro's World Heritage designation was in danger due to severe rainfall in the Sindh region, according to a warning from Pakistan's Department of Archaeology. The Mohenjo Daro archaeological sites had a record-breaking rainfall of 779.5 mm between August 16 and August 26, 2022, which caused "severe damage to the site and partial falling of numerous walls, including the protecting wall of the stupa dome." UNESCO strips Liverpool of its world heritage status The English city of Liverpool has been removed from UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites after the United Nations’ cultural agency found new buildings, including a football stadium, undermined the attractiveness of its Victorian docks. Liverpool was named a World Heritage Site in 2004, joining cultural landmarks such as the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal. Inscription on Krishnadevraya’s death (of Vijayanagar) discovered The first-ever epigraphical reference to the date of death of Vijayanagar king Krishnadevaraya has been discovered at Honnenahalli in the Tumakuru district. As per the inscription, Krishnadevaraya, one of the greatest emperors of India who ruled from the South, died on October 17, 1529, Sunday, and incidentally, this day was marked by a lunar eclipse. The inscription (written in Kannada) is engraved on a slab kept on the north side of the Gopalakrishna temple at Honnenahalli in the Tumakuru district.
